POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — The Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response, along with the Mount Beacon and QSY Society amateur radio clubs, will host a two-day technician-level amateur radio licensing class Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24.
Classes will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 23 and 8 a.m. to noon March 24 at the department’s offices at 392 Creek Road. Federal Communications Commission license exams will be administered at 1 p.m. March 24 and are open to anyone wishing to get a license or upgrade an existing license for a $15 fee.

Course participants should get the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual 4th Edition prior to the first session.
